There are some excellent walks and trails around the area, superb scenic drives and all the usual sporting and leisure facilities you'd expect to find including golf, tennis, fishing, indoor bowling and an indoor swimming pool.

Search for Arthur's and Merlin's Caves on the Doward or the Seven Sister Rocks near Symonds Yat. Relax on a bicycle and pedal through the shaded leafy glades of Herefordshire in lanes which are so quiet you may see no other traffic all day! Another equally relaxing way to explore is on horse-back and there are several centres offering pony trekking in the area. Many other activities including canoeing, climbing, abseiling, orienteering and hot-air ballooning can all be arranged locally.
